Melissa manages the day-to-day bills and payments for the company, ensuring proper approval/review by the team beforehand. She also aids in assuring that all financial activity is accurately up to date to make certain that management has all data needed for analysis.

Melissa joined the Trask Land Company team in November 2023 and brings over 20 years of accounting/financial experience along with her. Melissa currently splits her time working with Trask Land and a Virtual Assistant Company, where she is the Finance Manager.

Melissa is an Eastern North Carolina native, growing up in Greene County. She went on to attend East Carolina University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration. After graduating from college in 2004, she moved to Wilmington and made it her home.
